We are delighted to share the amazing news that we have been awarded the Gas Appliance Maintenance Service contract for Newcastle University.
Over the next couple of years we look forward to building a great partnership with the University.
We will be looking after the gas appliances in over 260 University buildings to ensure they are all gas safety compliant, as well as under taking planned preventative maintenance to expand the life span of the plant equipment which will help minimise breakdowns.
Martin Elsy, Maintenance Officer, Estate Support Service at Newcastle University says: “We are delighted to have JH Mechanical Services on board and we look forward to building a great working relationship over the years to come.
It is great to watch a small business grow and be a part of their success.”
Newcastle University, a member of the prestigious Russell Group which represents world class, research-intensive universities across the UK, is recognized for its academic excellence and superb campus estate.
Indeed, it is a great opportunity for our business to work with such a prestigious client.
Liam McDermott, Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager, will act as Account Manager for this contract and will be the main liaison contact with the Estates team at the University.
Having only just joined us 4 months ago, Liam brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team, as well as strong industry links and excellent client relationships he has cultivated over the past 30 years in the building services industry.
Liam says: “Securing a contract of this size with such a prestigious client as Newcastle University is testament to the ambitions of the management team and all of the staff at JH Mechanical Services; it is an exciting time to be a part of this outstanding venture. With a focus on outstanding delivery and customer satisfaction, we are building a strong portfolio of great clients.
Securing this contract will allow us to grow the team of excellent engineers which will further enhance our provision to all our clients who rely on our exceptional service and swift reaction times to keep their buildings running efficiently and compliantly.”
This contract will also have an impact on our existing apprenticeship programme as it will allow us to provide different learning experiences with a variety of specialist plant equipment.
John Heward, Managing Director adds: “This is a fantastic opportunity to build our reputation with yet another flagship client and to further capitalise on the great name we have built in the industry to date. Securing this contract has only been made possible through the hard work and dedication of the management team at JH Mechanical Services, and I am delighted with that we have achieved.
We already have a great relationship with our clients, and I am looking forward to working with Newcastle University over the next couple of years. I can certainly see this opening more doors and greater opportunities which will lead to even more success for the business.”
