Following the success of our last contract, we are delighted to announce that we will continue to be the go to contractor of Mechanical Pipe Services as well as Electrical Services for Teesside University for the next 4 years.
We are leading providers of Mechanical and Electrical services across the North East of England, our clients range from the education sector to housing associations as well as to more commercial and industrial clients.
Last year we really paved the way to set up new electrical department and recruited experienced people to build a strong team of qualified Supervisors and Electrical Engineers.
The work that will be carried out on this contract consists of electrical repairs, minor works and small projects.
John Heward, our Managing Director said: “With any of these contracts we have had to compete against good competition, the price has got to be right but also quality has got to be right.
“We have done really well on the quality side, compared to when we won the first contract a few years ago to now is a different level, we have stepped it up and invested heavily in the business and our staff and hopefully that’s why our clients like us.”
Three years ago, we were the smallest company to be awarded a term contract with Teesside University.
Work during this time included statute maintenance and servicing on any mechanical planting equipment, minimising breakdowns and we were first port of call to get things back up and running in a timely manner.
Andy Maclaren, Assisstant Director of Estate Services said: “We have worked with JH Mechanical Services for around 5 years now. It has been great to watch a small local business grow over the years and be a part of this success.
They provide excellent services and we are looking forward to continuing our working relationship over the next 3 years.”
In addition to this news, we will be celebrating 6 years in business at the end of May and with a recent office expansion we are continuing our plans to grow.
In total, we currently house 26 members of staff, including 14 engineers and counting.
There is no end in sight for us here at JH Mechanical Services, we are focusing on delivering a high quality service and keeping our clients happy.
John added: “The main aims right now is to be the best person to work for and the best company to do a job, with a happy workforce who enjoy coming to work and take real pride in the jobs they carry out.
“We have had great feedback lately on some electrical work on a project for the Thirteen Group as well as the completion of a boiler plant in Sunderland.
“The feedback we received from both the Thirteen Group and the consultants created the designs has been fantastic.
“I didn’t have an end game when I bought my first van 6 years ago and still don’t have an end game, we must be doing something right as clients want to use us, clients keep using us and hopefully that will continue.”
